MSCJ director Prof. Dr. Markus Reichstein has been awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize.

The prize, awarded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), is the most important research award in Germany. Prof. Reichstein is one of ten scientists who have been selected for the prize in 2020 out of 114 nominees. He receives the prize for his data-driven research on the interaction of climate and biosphere, and of carbon and hydrogen cycles in particular. The award ceremony will take place in Berlin on March 16, 2020.
